We decided to keep in touch continuously and thus formed a GoogleGroup named 'SIES1969' with Dr. Ravi Ramakantan as our moderator. Since then there is no looking back at all! We have messages being exchanged on any and every topic. Every emotion - nostalgia, humour, seriousness, concern and total friendship- is expressed unabashedly through this media.
On 22.02.2009, Sunday, we planned our 2nd SIES1969 reunion. Ravi wanted us to send in entries for a very novel photo-contest. He insisted that the criteria of the contest is that the photograph of the member should depict as many qualities she/he possesses as can be done in one single shot. Some batchmates (including Ravi) sent in their entries and one was better than the other. Here is mine. The photograph expresses my devotion to the power above, love for books, dedication to the employment in the education field, career responsibilities, love for writing poems, assistance rendered to students, passion for music , up-to-date with current news, time-consciousness, etc.
Ravi was liberal with funny remarks while going through the details of my photograph! I enjoyed every bit of it as, according to me, there is nothing but good wishes and sporting spirit between friends. Here is my entry photo. Enjoy! - Shanta
